Why the Glow Worms Glow

Over 4 million years ago the glow worms were getting eaten by flies because they had lost their glow. However the glow worms were smart but not smart enough. These not so smart glow worms were getting eaten in the hundreds because they had the best tasting meat on them in the whole cave. But one day came a green spiky dragon who had lost his big poka dot egg because it was dark. So the glow worms knew where the egg was so they made a plan. The plan was to light up the way for the dragon to find his egg. It was tricky to get their glow on but they thought if they all worked together and worked really hard they could do it. So they squeezed as hard as they they could and slowly their glow came back. The dragon could then see the way to his egg and that is why the glow worm glow.

Rail Trail

On Friday 24 of March my class and I did the Little River - Motukarara. The weather was not the best when we started  it was not the best weather but it got better as the day got went. We did it for a challenge, for fitness and for a pathway.

Then we got there we had to bit of waiting around intoll the patients come back from from   taking their cars to motukarara. When we were waiting around we biked around. When we started I was with TT and we caught tp to the second group from being in the second last group.

When we got to about half way there was a wait around for 30-45 minutes before we could go again. There was a huge rock and at the top there was an astonishing view. When most of my friends were there we had a competition who could hit a pole And Toddy and I got the closest.

On the final stretch was a great opportunity to look around and see the scenery and nature. When we got to  Motukarara there was a group of boys lying under the Kempthorne  truck because it was so hot. Overall it was a great ride and i will definitely do it again.

100 Word Challenge #2

I opened the door and saw meteors flying around my house, so I slammed the door. I sprinted down the stairs and yelled to Mum that there were meteors flying around outside. At first Mum didn't believe me so I told her to look out the window. Mum yelled, "we've got to go kids!" But I said to Mum "where can we go?" She said to the basement. So we sprinted down the stairs. Mum didn't come with us so we panicked and ran back up again. Then mum came and pinched me on the arm and said I was sleeping.
